The details

Exemption amount
Widow, widower and disability exemptions are partial, set in the Annual Abstract of Published Rates and Amounts. 100% disabled veterans get a full primary residence exemption.1
Who qualifies
Widows, widowers and persons with a total and permanent disability, within assessed value and household income limits. Veterans with a disability also qualify.1
Where to file
The county assessor where the property is located.1
Extra help for seniors or disabled owners
The Senior Property Valuation Protection Option fixes the value of a primary residence for qualifying owners for a renewable three year period, using ADOR Form 82104.1

The sources we read do not say: how to apply, moving or portability.

The ADOR page describes no general homestead exemption. Missing the filing window waives the exemption, though boards of supervisors may redeem some waivers.
Counties often run the application. Check your county assessor's page for the form.
